With the Super Wonder fast approaching, you will need the fastest march speed available as you rush towards victory. Currently the Northern King Set with Barbarian Spears and the Hermes Wing Set are the best set gear for boosting march speed. Regardless of which set you prefer, the optimum hero skills gems are identical. For the purpose of this article, we are going to cover the Hermes Wing Set.
The best gems to utilize for March Speed are:
- Gem of Flight
- Cyclops Gem
- Minotaur Gem
- Falling Star Gem
- Spring Gem (rare – 1% faster vs. cyclops)
- Olympus Gem (rare – 1% faster vs. cyclops)
When skilling your hero, please ensure you max out the points for the Base Set Bonus on the right side of the skill tree and then work your way down the left side of the skill tree to max out the Full Set Bonus. You will also want to ensure you max out the March Speed skill on the left side.
As a best practice, we suggest that you utilize the remaining hero skill points in the order defined below. This sequence will ensure that your strong hold can better withstand a potential Solo Attack or a Rally Attack in the event you are disconnected from the game or fall asleep in the 23rd hour with hero home :-).
- Altar Defense
- Troop Defense 3, 2, and 1
- Altar Health
- Troop Health 2 and 1
- Troop Type Defense
- Troop Type Health
- Enemy Attack Debuff
- Enemy Health Debuff
- Remaining points can be added to the Various Attack Skills
Below is an image of the set bonus that the Hermes Set provides.
We have done some testing, and as a result have updated our Core Setup for the Hephaestus set. This setup is assuming you’re hero 65 and are going against someone else running Hephaestus.
Check out the updated setup here :

Time Orbs and Rewind Orbs have been released. Time Orbs can be acquired by completing in game events. However, the Rewind Orbs appear to be available only through an in game purchase.
Time Orbs and Rewind Orbs appear to function in a similar manner as the “Reset Special Base/Full Special Bonus” for MZ Core Sets. You can use a pre-defined number of Time Orbs to set the boost as seen above for the Barracks building. The boost appear to be random. To “roll” a different boost, you will have to spend the pre-defined number of Time Orbs again. You will be able to use 100 Rewind Orbs to go back to a previous bonus as needed.
Barracks : 500 Time Orbs
Villa: 500 Time Orbs
Hospitals: 500 Time Orbs
Watchtower: 1000 Time Orbs
Altar: 1000 Time Orbs
Forge: 1000 Time Orbs
Prison: 1000 Time Orbs
Academy: 1000 Time Orbs
Gymnos: 1000 Time Orbs
Marketplace: 1000 Time Orbs
Storage House: 1000 Time Orbs
Embassy: 1000 Time Orbs
Hall of War: 2000 Time Orbs
The boost does not show up in a scout report so this will make things very interesting (Surprise)!!! MZ has provided limited information around these so we will continue to update the information we have as we interact with this new feature.
Stay tuned for more!!!
Ultimate Execution has been released in Game of War, and it looks to be a game changer.
That said, for right now it appears as if 99% of folks won’t need to worry about it.
Current reported numbers on leveling your graveyard to 23 :
Graveyard level 1-21 : 3,325 Lanterns
Graveyard 21-22 : 3,125 Lanterns
Graveyard 22-23 : 6,250 Lanterns
Once graveyard 23, you can ultimate execute heros. Up to that point leveling your graveyard just reduces the time your hero will be dead if it is ultimate executed.
For now, it’s safe to say : If the stronghold has a big skull on it – DONT HIT IT.
We have released a new bait burner recipe. This recipe is intended to burn people in perfectly set up bait gear. Basically, you use this recipe when someone in Oracle gear caps your Nike rally. If you are in our Line channels, this is the “iShaw Devastation 2.0” with some tweaks to have much higher TDD and type TDD to hit folks with Hero 64 that have their bait gear skilled/gemmed well.
To see the recipe, go here :
Premium Recipe – Ranged Bait Burner
The stats, when equipped/boosted/gemmed :
This recipe has a lot of variations and options to increase/defense debuffs and attack. Please feel free to post in our Forums with recommendations, questions, suggestions, or clarification on it.
After running this set for the past couple days myself, I can say with no uncertainty – there are a lot of your people in your Kingdom that feel safe right now. This will light them on fire and show them otherwise.
We have updated our Rally Math to include all of the recent updates. The most recent update was to include the new stats from VIP 24.
The numbers have increased quite dramatically recently – make sure you’re familiar with the new amounts, and adjust your sets to hit the required amounts. Remember, the best hit you will get is one that has their stats zeroed nearly perfectly with attack stacked off of that.
Check out the math behind the numbers in our Rally Math section.
Our Hero Out Stats Quick Reference also provides a very quick and easy way to check your stats based on your enemy’s attack setup.
The new quick reference :
Hero Out Target Debuff Amounts
||Hero in Prison
||Hero in Wonder
|Type Defense Debuff
|Type Health Debuff
Barrack Count Quick Reference for the various situations :
Barrack Count to TDDR Needed
|# lvl 23 Barracks
||Hero in Prison
||Hero in Wonder
VIP 24 has been released in Game of War. It costs an additional 500m points to upgrade from 23 to 24.
It unlocks the ability to “Match Rally Leader March” when filling a rally – basically making it easy to quickly fill a wonder rally.
Additionally, it provides a warning to rally leaders if anyone fills with different troops than they set with.
The breakdown (this update basically only adds raw stats)
|VIP 23 vs VIP 24
|Attack, Defense, Health Bonus
|Attack, Defense, Health Debuff
New no hero, hero marching, and hero in wonder stats will be updated and posted soon.
We have added the stats for the Hera core set.
With enormous bonuses from the 5/7 piece, Hera is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the wonder in this weekend’s KVKs for those of you lucky enough to have crafted a full set.
These are example stats on the set, gemmed for all attack and with a hero level 65 (unequipped, so bonuses aren’t showing) :
New troop training gear was released in Game of War today – the Exalted General’s set.
Initial glance appears to be only slightly better than Grand Marshal’s – a bit more RSS reduction, but more speed, and a larger Troop Queue bonus.
We will update here as more information becomes available.
Today marks day 6 of the Daily Bonus Club in Game of War, which means everybody that joined the club on Day 1 will be opening their Full Artemis Mystery Chest.
Questions have been flying all week about the contents – will it have a full Artemis core set? Will it have…a lot less?
It looks like it’s turned out to just be a chance at the set, unfortunately. This is what I received in my Full Artemis Mystery Chest today (much to my dismay) :
Comment here with what you got – make us all jealous of your full Artemis set!
