Rally Math – T5 Analysis

With the release of Tier 5, lots of players have been (naturally) assuming that Tier 5 will hit the hardest, no matter the scenario.

This has been proven not to be the case.

Why this is the case : Tier 5 troops currently only have Regular troop versions released. This means that they hit the hardest against Wilds – but, Wild troops hit Regular/Strat troops much harder. Due to this, we ran testing to see if the increased attack power of T5 will outweigh the type differential between Regular and Wild.

Test 1 Scenario

Attacker : 250k Infantry Troops – one of each type of T4 and 5
Defender : 1.51m T2 split REGULAR troops.

This test was run to attempt to simulate hitting a trap. The attacker is outnumbered, and the defender has a large meat shield of T2 regular troops – split between all three types.

The results :
Game of War Tier 5 - Testing

Summary of the Results :
When the defender has all Regular (or all Regular/Strat) in the tier that you are hitting, WILD T4 STILL HIT HARDER THAN T5. Lots of traps run with only regular T2 troops, meaning there will still be LOTS of instances where you should send T4 Wild rather than T5.

Test 2 Scenario

Attacker : 250k Infantry Troops – one of each type of T4 and 5
Defender : 1.51m T2 split, 50% Regular, 50% Wild

This test was run to attempt to simulate hitting a trap that has built some T2 Wild meat. The Attacker is outnumbered, and the defender has a large meat shield of T2 Regular and Wild troops.

The results :
Game of War Tier 5 - Attack Tests

Summary of the Results :
When the defender has Wild Troops present in the tier that you are hitting, Tier 5 Hits the Hardest. If you don’t have Tier 5, Tier 4 regular still hit the hardest. This is assuming that they have a large portion of Wild troops in their bottom tier. As the ratio of wild to regular troops decreases, you will rapidly approach the point that Wild troops start hitting harder.
