The Four Horsemen set is a split set with high debuffs. It is widely used for wonder battles as well as burning smaller or lesser geared strongholds.
The strength of the Four Horsemen set lies in it’s debuffs. Bear in mind, the set bonuses (which are massive on this set) are not included in the preset view of the stats. They will apply once the set is equipped.
Baseline stats for Four Horsemen, ungemmed :
The Secret Bonus on Four Horsemen is by far the strongest part of the set. It is what makes the set “work,” along with the mystery bonus. Many people have spent tens of millions of gold to get their secret bonus as high as they can for Troop Attack – I generally recommend resetting until you have 200+ and 700+ and stopping there. Another option for 4hm is to reset the bonus until you are over 1000 of a single troop attack, and use the set as a missile. This is a Troop Attack bonus that was reset for optimization :
As you can see, even though the set comes with a very high defense debuff, we continue to stack it. Gemmed properly the 4hm can hit over 1100-1200 def debuff, which makes it quite formidable. It is also gemmed for Troop Attack, as the set is rather lacking in that department. If you are using the set for a wonder battle it is not unheard of to gem it for more health debuff – purely to combat Emerald sets.

The hero skilling for Four Horsemen is just for a split rally setup. If you will be using it as a missile, gem it as you would any other missile.
For Four Horsemen, the 7pc bonus is what makes the set work (massive defense debuff) – so we will be skilling into it.
